Temperature Gauge
As the standard temperature gauge is known to be useless I was considering fitting and new guage in a pod on the dash. Can I just piggy back off the existing sender on the engine block?

Re: Temperature Guage
My guess is that will give you the exact same reading as the useless one.
Try one of Haydn's TM2 models.

Re: Temperature Guage
Why not just modify the existing one to work without the non-linear stage, one resistor and short out the zener diode!

Re: Temperature Guage
Thanks for the replies and the link to the detailed 'how to do' document. I'll have a think and leave it until the warmer weather as my fingers were numb fitting the Haydn Coolant Alarm last week

You can undo the dashboard display and bring it into the house to do in comfort!

Brave man. I'll stick to the workshop - the land of loud rock music, tools and where strong lanuage accepted as part of getting the job done.g8dhe wrote: Tue Jan 16, 2018 12:24 am You can undo the dashboard display and bring it into the house to do in comfort!

Re: Temperature Gauge
Avoid the need for strong language when it overheats (less anyway
) and fit an temperature alarm sensor. Important standard kit for Bongo ownership I reckon. Haydn Alarms TM-2 is money well spent.

They call me light foot.
