new tax rates

Post by Northern Bongolow » Thu Nov 23, 2017 3:21 pm

this makes interesting reading, who wins or looses if you have several vehicles.  . i think i know the answer before i read it. #-o

http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/car-news/c ... k-road-tax.

if you read page 2 it helps explain the winners and losers a little better. no surprise that the big motors under £40 k win.
im looking for a above £40 k car thats over 5 years old if anyone has one for sale. :?

So with a 1st year tax Rate of #500 and #450 for the next 5 years should i cancel the order for my 50k pound motorhome and use the Bongo for another 10 years.
No I wasn't thinking of selling it but repatriating it to a son, but which one, the one with a licience or the one with wander lust and no ability to drive?

Thanks Ady, looks like £245 for me then. Can we be sure these are rates the govt is committed to post Autumn 2017 budget (i.e. how do we know they're new)?
