Wiring Manual CD content ?

I am of the female variety so forgive my ignorance...
Does this CD only have advanced tech' stuff on it like an electrician would understand or could I use it to find out why my rear windscreen wiper / demister / interior rear light have stopped working. I'VE CHECKED THE FUSES THEY ARE OK ! as its titchy two ply wire I suspect a break somehwere along the feed. but I need to know where to look.
Does the CD have Pretty Pictures, I like Pretty Pictures, easier to follow than blah blah blah.

I bought it for my mechanic to look at when he was doing some electrical work on my van, I had a quick look at the CD and then quickly turned it back off. It looked pretty heavy going. I think you would probably have to be quite a competent motor electrician to understand it.
