Steering Misalignment Question

I just got a passenger front shock fitted today. I watched it getting done and all seemed ok. Original one was leaking and had no springiness left in it.

All seemed fine but now my steering wheel is not lined up straight?

The van seems to drive fine in a straight line and is not pulling one way or the other but the steering wheel is definitely not lined up like it was before?

I only had the one shock changed, despite me questioning several times whether they should be done as a pair?

Normally they are changed in Pairs,unless one has been replaced fairly recently and tests prove to be in Good serviceable condition.
Did the garage track/check the geometry after the steering parts were fitted?.

No checks after it was fitted. Just bolted on.

What I'm wondering is whether it is likely to 'settle in' as the shock beds in. Or whether I need to replace the other side, or get the alignment/ tracking checked. Not really sure what to do.

I'd thought shockers were almost always replaced in pairs - maybe you're looking at a reason why

cannot really see how they could have fitted it wrong but i wouldnt go back, i would take it to another garage get them to check over what has been done, then get them to straighten things up, this really is basic garage stuff to do right,
