Attaching awning rail

Managed to find some narrow width C section awning rail like this in a local camping shop which will fit within the nearside gutter rail:



Does anyone have any advice on how to attach it?
As it's pre-drilled I could rivet it to the gutter rail, but am a bit reluctant to go around making holes which could corrode (more ). On one of the T4 forums Sikaflex 252 was recommended as suitable to use on its own; a friend of mine used an epoxy adhesive and glued it to the roof of his T4. He's used it quite a few times and demonstrated it to me by swinging off it the other night!
Any other thought or experiences?

I've used the same stuff for attaching an awning to my pennine folding camper. The original is zipped in.
I used a std caravan awning through your channel but screwed through to a tent pole;
the small screws are a pain in threading through.
You could glue the C channel to a pole and clamp to the gutter. a std method for some awnings
