Ah! Just found out there's a 2 week lead time on ordering that part and we're going on holiday in a week! The blanking plug idea is interesting, but won't it need a seal against the filter housing? If anyone can suggest a workaround, I'd be grateful.

There is also a breaker in Mossend Bellshill that often has a pile of bongos.

You could also fit a compatible plain fuel filter Without the sensor Hole.

Some filters actually come with a plastic water trap tap independent of the sensor.

we got one from Bongo Spares (It was MazdaBongo who couldn't deliver for two weeks), so we're all set. Useful to know about the breakers though. This forum is a great resource!

The epic continues! Fitted the sensor (plus seal) and the van starts and runs, but there's diesel escaping from the leak off pipe that runs to the injectors (passes excess fuel back to the tank) so we need a new one. Anyone have a part no. for this? Thanks

I don't think the numbers quoted are supplier part numbers (could be corrected here) but at least you have a unique reference. If you can't get a new one in time then good 'ole Bongospares.co.uk may be able to get you out of trouble, again! Also the pipe may be the same on the Ford Ranger WLT engine, so might be worth asking a Ford garage.

careful,
there are 2 types, one for long glow plugs, one for short glow plugs. the difference is the low plugs and connecting bar sit lower and will touch the top of a high loop pipe.

That's Strange, I would not think they would use different pipe assy . Are you not getting confused with the glow/heater plugs rail.

That's the correct part for your vehicle , all years and GP types are the same .

there are 2 different link pipes for the injectors, they have a slightly dif loop heights to accommodate the difference in the glow plug heights, long plugs or short, all the connecting rails are the same, hense the need to bend or modify things if you go from long plugs to short plugs.

You are a hard man to convince...

1995 to end of production they use the Same Fuel leak off pipe WL00133G90B (SAME PIPE)

1995 to 1997 use glow plug rail/cord WL021861X

!997 to end of production use flow plug rail/cord WL211861XA (TWO DIFFRENT) rails/cords. The reason for the change is to accommodate the difference in glow/heater plug lengths on the later model..

i typed a reply arguing with you yet again,

then reread your answer/statement again.which i now understand,

so - - - - - - - - . after working on approx 40 to 50 different bongos ive never seen different glow plug connecting rails. but my wifes injector link pipe, late 96, with short plugs was different to my very early 95 with factory long plugs.

so is it a typo /misprint, and will you have to obtain pics of the two rails/link pipes side by side before i shut up and accept the possible.
