Is it essential to get the twin sensors or will the single sensor units be sufficient for a V6 engine?
I am getting a low coolant alarm and would like to add the extra protection of an engine temp sensor as well.

its a bit like house insurance, if you dont buy the full monty you may regret it later, the v6 does run cooler than the diesel, it doesnt tend to have the same head problems but it has the same number of pipes etc and they are getting older.
to my mind the more info you have the earlier you can spot poss problems BEFORE it actually happens, temp monitoring is always a good idea.it depends where you want to place the sensor/s, one on the stat housing, or rad pipe, or one on each head.

Thanks for the reply. I have gone for the twin sensor. I had a good chat with Jo at Haydn Alarms and she was so friendly and really helpful. I highly recommend you speak to her if you're on the hunt for an alarm.
Looking forward to getting it wired up, so will scour this forum for the tips about fitting.

I have routed the two temperature cables but I am struggling to find the best location to tap the blue oil sensor cable on the alarm unit. Can someone please advise a suitable location?

Would it not be possible to contact the supplier for fitting instructions (if this device is intended to be fitted to your vehicle) I am sure they could supply simple instructions.
Good Luck.

Would it be safe to remove the instrument cluster, identify the wire coming in from the loom connector that goes to the +ve end of the oil light bulb and tap into it there?
