Safety Report
Whilst reading other posts with regard & how UNSAFE the bongo is, after i had changed my pants and picked myself up off the floor, I had to have a dig about and found this. It needs translating from russian but the bulk of it can be made out. Make up your own mind, to me it looks like it has come out of it ok

Well said Peter....the other posts were locked before they got out of hand.......but this is a reasoned response.......if anyone has experience of any collision involving their Bongo then this is the place to post......we are ALL curious...but we prefer facts and not rhetoric.......

Alan...still plodding on....!
NO.....it does NOT count...I have fallen OUT of the sliding door when going to the loo in the night...( my wife will testify to this as it caused her much amusement )...but the Bongo remained undamaged....only damage was to my ego...Dabongo wrote:Alan,
I banged My head climbing in through the sliding door once!

Vehicles with large "bonnets" and small engine sizes invariably do well in frontal collisions as there is more crumple zone. Not having an engine at all under the bonnet (as in the Bongo) has got to be great for safety (as long as the passenger cell is rigid enough!) :-)
Having the original seats and belts is also going to be a good thing I would have thought. Some pople have already pointed out taht reversed middel seats may be safer in some ways too (us teh search facility)
HTH
PS Put a deposit down on my first Bongo yesterday! Yeay :-)
