Leisure circuit

Hi everyone.
Just bought a 97 2.5 friendee. It has the split charging kit on but the battery isn't holding charge which I am going to replace. However what should be on the leisure circuit? My central locking OPEN seems to be on the leisure circuit but but not LOCK... at the moment i can lock it fine but have to manually open it if i leave it for a while. The radio, blinds, interior lights etc are all on leisure too which I assume is ideal looking at other forum comments. Cheers.

Sounds good for the leisure circuit
Is the battery holding charge if you disconnect it for a day
Might not be the battery might be something drawing current
Is it a remote fob your using to lock / open the doors or key
Sounds like a problem with the little actuator motor in the door or door cable snapped in the wiring loom in the door hinge
Or flat batt in key remote

Don't think this is advisable if your vehicle is fitted with remote central locking.

That would be a strange set up, not sure if its even possible.

As Gasy says, the most common problem with central locking is a break in the wire where it goes from the A pillar to the driver's door.

This can be intermittent but is an easy fix.

I suppose a way to be sure what is running off the LB is to make sure it is charged then disconnect it and see what works before and after. It might be good also, if you have a multimeter, to check the charging and voltage sensing regime is working as it should. There are a few things that can cause central locking to play up. I replaced my driver's side wiring loom as mine was erratic, only to find (when it started again) that it was the relay box behind the glove compartment.

It probably would be if you feed the appropriate side of Fuse No4 30 Amp with a supply from the LB.

All sorted.. bought a 110ah from halfords forn £90... just about fits at 350mm wide. Everything working now... central locking is def on leisure curcuit when engine is not running but hey, I have a key!
