Its shouldn't do, as the outer surface has a plastic coating applied to it over the top of any seams so water penetration from outside should be minimal. The exception to this are the zips if the flap that covers them get folded back leaving them exposed to heavy rain it can penetrate a bit, but it only takes a little smoothing down with the hand as the zip is done ip to prevent this happening.

One thing with Bleach based products is rinse the material down with water afterwards so that the cotton fibres don't get damaged long term with the bleach rotting them, then just leave to air and dry naturally before closing the AFT down so choose the day for doing it carefully!

Not had any major problem with water ingress. We get a little bit of dampness through the material of the zips. I've bought some waterproofing spray to spray across these from outside.

The ceramic headlight connectors arrived today so will be getting onto that ASAP, the wires on the replacements are much thicker. Will try and rn the ground to somewhere else.

Out of interest if anyone has done this repair, did you connect the old wire as well or do you just connect the black wire to a new ground source?

I was going to chop of the old connector, then solder and heat shrink the new cables on, just not sure about the black one.
