Repair panel

Post by Dudleian » Thu Mar 02, 2017 1:59 pm

My wheel arches are in surprisingly good condition and apparently still original, however the corner where the sill meets the rear arch on the passenger's side has had a poor repair which has resulted in the bottom corner of the door snagging on it. The repair patch has been welded on top of the sill and really needs chopping out and replacing with a flush repair - does anyone know of a repair panel for this area?

Why be the same as everyone else when, with a bit of effort, you can be different?

None available to the best of my knowledge.
All I can suggest if you do not want to fabricate one is to look around at vehicles with a similar shape and see if any repair panels are available for those and then mod to suit.
If you can post an image of the area you require, mark it with a crayon or felt marker, I have some old PartsPanel catalogs here and I may be able to match something up.
Unfortunately PartsPanel don`t carry images on their website any longer.

Hi Dudleian, I think I'm probably reading this wrong. It's the driver's side sill and rear arch? What door is fouling on that?

SORRY ('my bad' as the 'yoof' seem to prefer it nowadays) - I meant the passenger side, I'll see if I can edit the post
