Scottish Bongo Dealers/Garages

Post by Vaderfrenchie » Fri Feb 24, 2017 10:02 pm

Hello good people of the Fury Forum.
As a bongo newb and just about to take the leap to ownership. I would like to ask if anyone knows of any reputable and reasonable bongo sales companies in Scotland. I am based south of Aberdeen but obviously happy to travel about. I am going to go through the trader route as all I can find locally are a bit thrashed.
I am aiming at the mpv with pop top to start with. Due to budget.
Any help gratefully received.
Regards
Jim.

Welcome aboard Jim.

There are good dealers up there, but as you can see I'm a long way south and can't remember where.

Peeps will be along to help out. :D
Take a torch, toilet roll, and tea bags.

It seems tricky sourcing a good one at a good price in Scotland. And making speculative trips down south is expensive. Whats your budget if it isn't rude to ask?

Hey Vaderfrenchie! I'm in Aberdeen and just bought one from Campers Scotland in Falkirk a few weeks ago. I know what you mean about finding a decent one in Scotland - there were a couple came up on Gumtree but because I wanted a conversion I wanted to go for somewhere I could get the conversion done and also have a bit of a safety net with a warranty. You can buy a van there tho and don't have to get it converted.

I went to have a look at Fantastic Campervans but they seemed to be pushing hi tops instead of pop tops, and I think most of them were converted already. There was also one I was looking at called Calder Campervans but it was just a bit too far as I didn't have my own vehicle at the time. There were some in a motorhome place in Perth but when I went to look at them they weren't actually in great nick, and there were a couple of other ones that popped up in Fife that on closer inspection I knew from the pics they'd be too much work. I think most of the better importers are down south for sure - if you can travel that far and want a fresh import then it's maybe worth the distance!

Good luck with the search!
