4wd conversion

Post by Dannyb86 » Tue Jan 24, 2017 12:35 am

Hi new to the forum. I have searched to no avail. Has anyone converted a 2wd to 4wd on a 2.5 diesel 1996. If so what is involved aside from buying the obvious bits (4wd box, shafts etc) cheers.

I'm not aware of anyone who has done that, though i'm sure its quite doable if you get parts from a breaker and know how to assemble them. Think i'd rather swap Bongos though as being simpler and more reliable, but for a dedicated spannerhead with the right facilities and tools i guess it could be fun to have a go.

Ooh, Matron.

There's the requirement to tell your insurers of the 'Modification', too. I don't know how they would view this and may severely limit the companies who will cover it.
