Front fog light switch

Post by sotal » Mon Jan 02, 2017 9:20 pm

It was really foggy the other day so I went to switch the fog lights on, switched the rear one straight away with no problems as that is an after market add on installed when it was imported. However I couldn't find the front fog light switch anywhere! The wife didn't know where it was either (the Bongo is her daily driver).

Got back and thought I'd check that it did actually have fog lights and I hadn't just imagined them and sure enough it has front fog lights. On closer inspection though they only have about 2 inches of wire coming out of the top!

Obviously been added later but never connected up to anything! #-o

So on to my questions...

Where should the front fog light switch be for factory front lights?
Is it much hassle to wire the fog lights up?

As this is the first time we've really needed the front fogs in 18 months I'm not too fussed but do prefer things to work if they are there. If it isn't too much hassle I'd like to sort them. If it is a faff I'll leave it!

Thanks

You probably only have half of the loom and no relay fitted, diagram and locations (next page) below;

The switch position is the first to the right hand side of the steering wheel E2-01
normally the socket for the switch is dangling behind the dashboard ready, you may also have the loom to the lights in the front, but normally the relay isn't fitted its on the nearside wheelarch the front most of the 4 positions.
