Engine Warning Light 2002 2.0l
My engine warning light has come on (yellow) - any suggestions or do I need to get a diagnostic readout?
Will my local garage have a diagnostic device that will fit?
Would something like this work?
Is OBD2 a spec? Does that spec work for the Bongo?

We were up by the supermarket and shower block. White AFT Aero and leaky Kela awning!

Re: Engine Warning Light 2002 2.0l
No sign of a supermarket or showers where we were - we were near the gate at the craft tent end.

Re: Engine Warning Light 2002 2.0l
My diagnostic thingy has arrived and it tells me the fault is:
"P0135 o2 sensor heater"
is that the "the lambda sensor (o2) heater coil failure" then?
If so - how do I know which one to buy - there are 3 types on the BF shop.

Did you try a Reset.?
Regarding the type, check it with the VIN.

If I use the device to clear the error will the problem still be there but not lighting the warning light?Did you try a Reset.?
Or - if the problem is still there will it just make the light come on again?
Has anyone tried the universal lambda sensors on Ebay?

Re: Engine Warning Light 2002 2.0l
The light will just come back on again, if the fault is intermittent the error light may also go out as well whilst the fault isn't present.

psquiddy , if you mainly do very short journeys with your vehicle a fast run for several miles and a reset might do the trick. I think peeps on here refer it to an Italian Tune - Up.
Good Luck.

Intrigued!
So your vehicle has an OBD connector like in the Ebay ad, you didn't need an adapter?
How many O2 sensors are on your vehicle have you one before the CAT and another after?

Re: Engine Warning Light 2002 2.0l
I tend to do long journeys so that idea is out. I might try to take the existing sensor out and soaking it in carbon cleaner or coke.
No adapter was needed and I believe there is only one sensor.
