What are you opinions on screen mounted DAB aerials? Are there better alternatives to get good reception?

Mine works great and i've forgotten its there. . I'd have rather tried one of those devices that allows you to use the analogue aerial but reports are mixed and life's too short so i let halfrauds talk me out of it   8)

I have one of those windscreen aerials fitted by JAL when they fitted the roof and removed the roof aerial. Around Swindon it doesn't work very well at all but around Cornwall I got fantastic reception - go Cornwall!!! No doubt I'm back to bad reception and iPod!!

Pioneer DAB stereo fitted with screen mounted aerial and it works great! Much better than the DAB radio in my company car (BMW)

I'm guessing the mag mount is on a tin top?

Does anybody know any names and model types of these good aerials?

Not a tin top
My mag mount is on the bulkhead above windscreen passenger side
Cable runs in through door then down inside of the plastic trim on the pillar
Came with the DAB radio from halfords (£50 off there Internet site )
I've seen the mini mag mount dab aerials same as mine on ebay £10-20
Image
Always had a good reception ( it does struggle going across the fells on the A66 into Cumbria )
Never let in any water through door seal

I did think about routing the cable under the auto roof then into the inside
But don't think my 3m cable was long enough
That one I posted above has 4m so might be poss with that

Just had a screen mounted DAB aerial fitted. It came free with the stereo unit, so likely not expensive. I haven't been outside South Wales since fitting, but I've programmed in all of my favourite DAB channels, and reception (so far) is excellent. No doubt I'll get some flat spots due course.
