Front Brake Binding

Post by peeky1323 » Tue Oct 18, 2016 12:41 pm

Hi,

Unfortunately I have put my bongo up for sale. New job means I need a more economical daily drive I need to drive about 1000 miles a month now instead of working from home :-( The bongo has been sitting for about a month and when someone came to test drive it we found the passengers side front brake was binding. You could smell it and it was read hot. Is this a common issue and do you think a new caliper is needed or just a simply lube and clena up will sort? The brake pads are fine and not that old.

Thanks,

Matt

Sticking brakes is not uncommon after a vehicle has been laid up for a bit.

This post has some things to look at:
