Tm2 fitment

Hi folks,
Firstly, i ordered a tm2 very late on Friday 9th, it arrived the following monday which was cracking service from Haydn et al.

My question relates to where people have fitted their monitor? I would like to fit in place of some switches which i'll move across to this other side of the steering wheel. I'm sure i saw someone had done this and posted pictures, but i can't find them.

I'm not a fan of hanging it under the dash or in the centre console (i have a double din stereo).

So yes, any guidance would be appreciated. Trying to make it look as factory as possible!

Aye up.
Well this evening I have started making some headway into the fitting of the TM2. I have started by butchering the speedo surround in order to mount the TM2 into position, in place of the three switches on the left of the wheel. I will use an "L" bracket screwed through the lid of the TM2 to fix it in place, into the surround. I will need to also make up a plate to take up the remainder of the space in the vacated switch holes.
Personally I think it's awfully selfish of Haydn to not make it a perfect fit into this area! Ha!
Anyway, it shouldn't take too long to make the rest of it, then just a case of simply wiring it in.

It's all good progress and I was able to do it at the dining table, which was an added bonus.

Old school PC blanking plates are good for covering the gaps.

Today i had a chance to do some vehicular work, so i was able to the tm2 fitting.

It isn't really geat, but i prefer it to hanging down in the centre, so it works for me. I just need to find some sort of trim to go around the edges to mask the gaps. It appears to work, but i haven't driven the van yet, just tickover.

Nice location. Not sure how much spare gap you have around it but i got a great look with a rectangular voltmeter by using a bit of mouse mat black foam rubber as a gasket. It filled in the gap between the square corners of the meter and rounded corners of the Bongo dashboard switches housing. Extra benefit was that it provided shock protection for the meter though i've not tested that one yet
