Is there a part number for this diaphragm? It isn't in the pump drawings and after trawling the internet it appears to be an add on for the pump to use the turbo. I can't find a part number anywhere. Seems to be the compensator for the boost pin which gives more fuel depending on the pressure and rotation of the boost pin. My diaphragm (compensator) is actually out of shape a bit and I feel a new one might even make performance better and I wonder if there is a difference in flexibility of the rubber between a new one and old one that has been swimming in oil.

mine was a little wrinckled too but has been fine, thats not to say it couldnt be better though. i would be very interested in any results you get from buying it.------- go on , you know you want too.

it looks right to me. on the ad link when you open up the details tab more info is listed, in it it says ring the seller if you have any questions.
in the old petrol carb days on bikes and cars new diaphragms were a regular service item and the motor did benefit so ------

Just saw this. I'm in the process of selling the bongo and the diaphragm is still in the drawer. PM me your address and I'll post it to you for heehaw. Please post the results as I was looking forward to seeing the results but just havent had time. cheers

Did you get to the bottom of this? Did you get the wastegate actuator moving when reconnected and engine running?

TonyBongo, this was a case of No Fault Found and my learning curve. I just didn't realise how strong the spring would be. Because it tested fine when applying pressurised air to the actuator and I had no symptomatic reason to doubt its operation, it did not really feature on my checklist when everything was back up and running. (For reasons, I'm sure will be understood, 34 new coolant hose connections were uppermost in my mindTonyBongo wrote:cmm303 wrote:Success.
