Its the VERY COLD start switch that is used on Northern Japan models with dual batteries, it closes a valve in the exhaust ot force the hot gases back around the engine to assist in heating it up. Some suggest it shouldn't be used here due to the likely hood that the valve may well jam up due to rust etc.

As Goeff says, you have two starter batteries, not a leisure battery.

Unless someone has 'Tweaked' it. :wink:
