What coolant?
I am going to replace the four main coolant hoses soon and give it a flush through. What coolant should i use..red or blue?

Re: What coolant?
blue boils at a lower temp than red, red needs doing before 5 years, instead of 2 year blue. also the red is usually OAT BASED so is best for the ally head/rad etc.
theres a good short blurb here.

or if you really want to know it all try this.

Re: What coolant?
If you change coolant type (OAT vs non-OAT) the old must be thoroughly flushed out. They don't mix well.
OAT antifreeze will also cause false alarms with an LCA, if fitted, over the first couple of weeks. Resolved by cleaning or replacing the screw in the expansion tank. This isn't a bad thing, just a side affect of the protective coating that OAT antifreeze deposits.
