New to Bongos. Beeps, switches and such-like.

Post by pixies » Sun Jun 19, 2016 8:42 pm

Hi all,

Just had the load of a 96 Bongo for the weekend - in advance to a possible purchase. The owner is unavailable just now, so I was hoping someone here could answer

A quick question (first of several). When I remove the key, there are 3 sets of beeps:

Bee-bop, bee-bop.
Bee-bop, bee-bop.
Bee-bop, bee-bop.

The beeps are different the ones for lights on, door open, reverse, etc. and seem to come from behind the dash. It has an immobilizer - could that be it?

You hero! That's it. I didn't even notice it was removable.

Right - now for the corner sensor switch and the broken mystery button...

It was the description of the beep that did it , it's absolutely spot on.

annoys me everytime I drive my wife's car, I believe you can turn then off if desired.
