Aircon Parts

Post by nfraser » Tue May 24, 2016 10:26 pm

Hi

Aircon stopped working last Autumn so had the aircon specialist out today to try and sort the problem. Found a leak in the condenser and says not repairable. So - I am in need of a new condenser and also the "dryer" next to it - apparently these are considered serviceable parts and best to replace at this point.

Has anyone obtained these before - I've tried the Bongo Fury shop and a few other places but no one has them listed.

Any help appreciated!

Thanks

Neil

New condensors are still available as far as I know. The last time we got a quote for one was 5 years ago, and the price was around £550. :(

You might be better off getting a second hand one from eBay or a breakers. But if you want to go down the route of a new one, then use the "Partfinder" section in the member's area of the main website.

I am having the same problem, Mazda do still supply them at around £550 with the drier bottle a further £300ish. I have been around the houses with aircon specialists. These guys list one on their site but no longer stock it. the best they could offer was to modify another model to suit my fittings which I may well end up doing.http://www.adrad.co.uk/prices/aircon_pr ... 98&to=9999

Managed to track down a condenser from Ava leisure:- http://www.mazdabongo.com £350 delivered. Apparently only the late version condenser is available now, fortunately that is the one fitted to my Bongo. If you need an earlier version your only option is to have your air con specialist modify the connections.
