Central Locking
Well my central locking packed in again yesterday, I say again because it went a few months ago and folowing threads on here I found the wires in the loom from the pillar thru the drivers door, sure enough one, yelow coloured had split, eventually repaired it, ( what a bloody awkward job) and it has worked fine until now. Checked em again and sure enough they had parted again, quick splice and solder and hey presto, fine again, strange thing is there were two other wires, both green with a black stripe that had also obviously been broken for a while, don't know what the hell they do but I repaired em anyway. Everything else was working fine so am at a loss as to what they did, anyone got any ideas. Happy motoring.

cant see why they would wire the spotlamps through the the door pillar into the drivers door, as for the speaker wires, the drivers front speaker wire are grey (unless someone has altered the wire/speaker), maybe its for an alarm that wires into the locking mechanism or for a closure unit for the window?bigdaddycain wrote:I think those wires may connect to the spotlights that mount on to the bullbars, but i could be wrong.
do you have an alarm on your bongo?
if so leave the window down and press the alarm see if the window closes on its own?
other than that trace the wire inside the door see what it leads to?
