First post from a Bongo novice...
Just fitted a TM1 alarm to my 2.5d Bongo and it's working off the cigarette socket at the moment. Can anyone recommend a good place (aka 'easy') place to tap into an ignition switched source of 12v. Unit is fixed to the upper surface of the large cubby box in front of the gear lever.
No mention I can see in previous posts so presume it's pretty obvious/I am being thick....

Whilst you could connect it to the wires at the back of the 12 v socket you already use, this would not be such a good idea if you already have or plan to fit a leisure battery.
The back of the fuse board (by your right knee when in the drivers seat) is a good place. Scrape of some insulation on a suitable wire (ie something that comes on with the ignition and you are unlikely to want powered by a leisure battery such as the electric windows, indicators - whichever is easiest to get at really) and then solder a new wire to this. You can earth the alarm to the back of the 12 v socket if you want. Ideally, get to the wire pre rather than post fuse but it doesn't really matter too much.
Our alarm is connected to the indicator supply which works just fine although, if you have the indicator stalk in an on position when setting the alarm, the Haydn unit beeps it's self test beep as the indicators flash

You could use a piggy back fuse to add an additional feed from one of the fuses by the drivers right knee. Avoids delving around at the back of the panel. Can't remember the fuse number I used but think it is second from left middle row, supplies instrumentation amongst other things. This link details what each fuse does

(A piggy back fuse replaces an existing fuse which is then plugged into the piggy back. A lead comes off the piggy back fuse providing the additional power feed required. Pics have been posted previously so a search on this forum may be helpful)
