Hot brakes

Going north on M6 stopped for cuppa noticed.burning smell.
Found front offside disc and brakes very hot must be rubbing.
Anything i can do roadside.
Pumped brake. Bit spongy then hardened up a bit.
Any help appreciated.

Scratching my head, but don't forget if you stay longer than 2 hours at a service area without paying they will fine you.

Might be worth putting tape over the rear plate if you have to go off on a recovery truck to cobble the ANPR. :mrgreen:

Sponginess could be water disolved in brake fluid boiled and the steam is compressible, once its cooled and turned back to water you can't squash it.

Got off motorway found pub for the night didnt seem so hot when i pulled up at pub mind you motorway was crawling anyway.

Probably needs the caliper removing and check all's moving freely, some spray on brake cleaner might free it enough to get home.

Just paid £4 for a can.

Took wheel off on slopy pub car park wiggled,poked, kicked, brushed and blew.
Put wheel back on. Drove 10m to next services checked hotter than the other but no where near as bad.
Continued oop north for hour and half no change.
Hope all remains same untill i can get it looked at properly.
