Before I delve into the wiring, thought I would ask if anyone had the same prob? Passenger side window works fine from the passenger door switch but on the drivers side nothing works. I haven't done anything recently to precipitate such a prob so any ideas? Rather not start taking the wiring loom apart! Is it the same fuse for both R and LH windows? Can the switch fail for both sides at the same time? Thanks.
I should add that the passenger widow "cut-off" switch on the Driver's side still works!

Its very rarely the fuses, the switch and loom are the two most common items to fail, you can check the fuses on the Wiring Site bit I would lay odds on it being the switch or loom!

Thanks for the speedy reply. Will check fuses first then switch. Not looking forward to wiring though!

Thanks. Shorted out D and H wires in the switch plug which should open the window but nothing. Power feed wire may be broken? I will take door panel off and check motor just in case.

Re: Drivers Windows - stopped working
The wiring is easy enough to access, it's normally the bit of the loom between the door & the body so you don't have to strip anything apart to get to it. The break in the cable will normally be at the bottom of the U where it's attached by a plastic clip, not where it comes through the grommets in the door or body. You'll need to remove the clip (probably breaking it but no bother) then slice through the corrugated sheath to get to the individual wires. Once there the problem should be self-evident. Good luck
