2.0L misfire

Hi looking for a bit of advice please.
My 2L petrol splutters occasionally, sometimes quite badly. I can't pinpoint any common situations when it happens. I have replaced plugs, ht leads, dizzy cap and rotor arm and tried a few bottles of fuel treatment. Could the fuel filter be an issue? If so does anyone have the Mazda part number please?
Anyone else had this issue?

Fuel filter, yes, a possibility, and try loosening the filler cap, these can air lock.

Less than 3/4 tank try removing it and driving.

Right. New fuel filter, bottle of BG44K and seemed to be running like a dream. But no, still getting this bleddy misfire/shudder. Tried leaving fuel cap slightly loose too. Can't seem to pinpoint when it happens, but is more noticeable stationary. Driving me mad.

any light on the dash when it happens. or does the exhaust sound a little noisy or does it make a vibrating noise on the nearside of the engine

Hi, no dash light, or other noises. Taken it out this morning and it's spluttering worse than ever. Going to go out and check the plug gaps in a mo, but can't see that really being an issue as they are recent and if weren't right would be constantly rough.
Run out of ideas

Could be a problem with injectors, ignition timing, crank position sensor, MAF sensor or in-tank fuel pump. Does it do it at any particular engine speed? How clean is the air filter? Anything happen round about the time that the problem first occurred?

Hi Simon, seems to be at lowish revs but nothing specific. Fist time I noticed it was very wet weather, I knew the old ht leads were duff so replaced along with the other bits gradually. But the fault still happens but not down to weather and erratic so can't pinpoint. Had air filter recently too, as well as BG fuel treatment it's had loads of redex injector cleaner too. Checked plugs earlier and all fine, no.1 connector on dizzy cap had some moisture in it which I've cleaned up. Haven't driven again since then.
Anyone know what the cylinder is under passenger seat, plumbed into fuel system?

I believe it's a carbon canister which is part of the fuel vapour control system. Unless there is a leak in one of the hoses then it probably won't cause you any issues.
