It's that time of year again the MOT looms....Rear drop links will need doing, I bought them some time ago, planning to fit them tomorrow.
Does anyone know the torque setting when I tighten up new bolts or is it a case of as tight as you can
Many thanks.

Just did mine tight, didn't torque them. Are they nylock nuts? Main thing is using penetrating oil a few days before and hope they undo. You'll be best with a six sided socket and extension bar. Car must be in level attitude and suspension under normal load before tightening.

Thanks Mike, I gave the drop links a good squirt with WD40 earlier and will again tomorrow morning before I start.
If I do have to grind them off are they pretty standard to get hold of?

Never had to grind mine so not sure but suspect they are. Hopefully someone on here can advise.

the nuts are not really the problem, its that they are bolted to studs that are welded to a backplate that is part of the axle, so if the bolt is tight and the stud breaks then you have to drill out and fit a standard bolt.
you can see the 4 studs in this link.

warm the bolts up is usually a good idea, then wire brush, then apply plusgas or similar to ease them.

Are you referring to the studs for the anti roll bar bushes as I was referring to the drop link bolts which appear to be non captive and pretty standard looking?

All sorted, had to grind off two of the bolts, put new bolts with nylock nuts throughout. MOT booked for late this afternoon so fingers crossed.
