Kitchen install on rear of seats

Proof of concept:













Plan now is to put the sink on the back of the single seat. The sink is going to drain out a length of flexible hose which we can run into a container with the door open. We're going to change the gas over to the small blue camping cannisters and it will only be connected when using it.

Still have full use of all 8 seats, the double bed and pretty much all of the load space. Knee room is reduced slightly but that's no issue really.

The smev I have would allow for a shallower box. is that on the cards? the pan stands are also loose on mine, have you had to fix that aspect?
the lid hinge does it keep shut upside down?

the footwell of the sliding door may be a place to store the bottles in the rain

I'm waiting on a similar SMEV sink to be delivered so that will dictate the depth of the units, we want them both to be at the same level when folded. I think for mark 2 I might make the unit larger in area so there is a bigger counter top to work from.
The lid has a magnetic latch and it does stay closed when inverted. The SMEV fits snugly into the cut out and the corners of the SMEV fold out slightly so that it doesn't fall through when upside down.

Looks interesting. Be mindful that the underside of the hob gets warm and is quite close to flammable foam and upholstery. Some form of heat-resistant fibre board may help.

The seats still fold down to a bed and I have use of all 8 seats.

Will probably get it re-build by someone who's handier at woodwork in the near future!
