Where is the water pump located?

My bongo has recently started to over heat and is also making a very strange noise from under the bonnet at times.

I have been told it might be the water pump but I don't know where it is to have a look! Can anyone help?

top front on the engine block basically

not as such under the bonnet

If the noise isfrom under the bonnet, it could be the sound of water bubbling into the expansion bottle. You must get any overheating problem checked out A.S.A.P.

Thank you! I will get my Dad to have a look at weekend. Otherwise I will have to book it into my mechanic. Do you have to book them into garages that deal specifically with Bongo's do you know?

You'd be better off finding a Bongo mechanic/garage in your area that comes recommended from this site. They can be a quirky beast to the uninitiated! See earlier post today on Bongo Chat for what problems the not so good mechanics can cause.

I'm not a member. I am going to have to sell my Bongo after I have fixed it so do not want to have to pay to join for that reason.....
