What to do with Abandoned Wiring

Post by 05gt » Wed Dec 30, 2015 11:25 pm

Just behind the middle seat I have about 10 wires protruding out of the floor with various connectors and plugs on them. On the front dash there was some kind of aftermarket screen which I have unplugged and removed. I am guessing the wires on the floor in the back were connected to the front screen somehow. My question is what tomdo with these Abondoned wires on the back floor. Do I just tape them up and try and hide them under the carpet or do I try and remove them all the way back to the dash?

I'd just insulate it and put it out of harm's way.

Least amount of work and least chance of disturbing something else.

That's the normal location for a CD Changer unit, personally I would remove the wiring, then you can tidy it all up behind the radio position, there is usually a ton or surplus wiring and connectors behind the unit which just makes life awkward.

Thanks for replies, I think I will tape it up and get it under the carpet for now and in the better weather I might have a go at tidying it up.
