Hi,
I'm planning on servicing my 2000, 2.5 diesel Bongo myself and was wondering if there was a basic guide anywhere to filter locations, oil volume, glow plug location etc. I've tried the FAQ and search and can't find anything.
I plan on changing air,oil and fuel filter along with the engine oil and glow plugs.I want to do the autobox fluid and sump but I think I'll wait for summer for that one!.

All those should be straightforward except for glowplugs, which involves more substantial work and a risk of a glowplug snapping as you try to change it. Do you have reason to believe the glowplugs need doing.

Air filter - stupidly easy, just open the engine cover, flip the catches on the housing, swap filter.

Oil filter - also easy and may only be hand tight to undo. You'll find it easily enough after opening the covers and looking around. With this and oil change, you want to avoid spillage esp. on engine undercover. You can squeeze a suitably sized washing up bowl underneath filter to catch spillage, and I use a Pela pump to extract hot oil rather than risk missing the bowl when I remove the sump plug underneath the car, which can so easily happen.

Fuel filter - can be v tight to remove and filter wrench advisable Make sure you detach the sensor and wiring underneath the housing before unscrewing.
