Well all done and great.
Dont use the fact sheet BTW for the rears as its just for drums and I only discovered this whilst nearly taking the hub off. I think it needs amending and stating so furture people dont make that mistake.
These have to be the easiest brakes I have ever changed (only done one before LOL). It took 20 mins to do the left as I dropped the antisqueel spring shim thing and couldnt find it and 10 mins to do the other side.
So this is what I did:
Choced the front wheels, took the hand brake off and stuck her in neutral.
Took the lid off the brake fluid resevoir and put loads of cloth around it.
Loosened the wheel nuts and then jacked the car up.
Took the wheel off.
Undone the two 14mm bolts holding teh whole caliper on.
Took the caliper off. (tube still connected)
Took the two pads off by just pushing them from behind whilst making sure the spring shim doesnt fly away though its not under much preasure.
Put the old shoes back in the one side together and forced the caliper back with a spanner, slowly and a bit at a time whilst checking in between that the reservoir under the bonnet wasnt over flowing.
Put the spring thing on the inside pad and pushed it into place and then put the other pad on whilst putting the spring thing back on that.
Bolted all back together and put the cap back on the reservoir (IMPORTANT). and then squeezed the brakes softly.
Then drove down the road like a lune and slammed the brakes on to see if they work or if a wheel falls off and to my suprise all well!!!
The pads cost me £18.95 for a complete set for the rear and thats including postage, bargain. Going to order some front and do them next.

I didnt to be honest, I must admit my mechanical knowledge isnt great and never gave that a thought. As it didnt take too long when I do the fronts I may do it then. Im a bit worried about taking the hub off though.
The way I read the sheet was you spin that gold thing inside the hole and eventually it should come off, my worry is how does it go back on as I dont understand whats happening behind the drum and what the gold thingy is actually doing.
I must admit though i dont use the handbrake too much LOL, good old park.
This is the guy i bought off who gave great communication and next day delivery plus he was the cheapes by a mile! OK his postage was OTT but thats how some people on Ebay make up their money.

Ramsey heres a little tip when you do the front, the caliper bolts arn't 14mm they are bigger and to save time looking for the right spanner use the wheel brace that comes with the jack if you have one, as its the correct size and you can give it a tap with the hammer as sometimes the bolts are very tight, the front ones from what i can remember are just as easy as the back,
the handbreak shoes should realistically never need replacing as all it does is hold the vehicle stationary , and at £100 for a pair of shoes its abit steep,
i agree with what you said about ebay i have had 3 x filter sets 2 x brake pads drop links glow plugs and other parts all cheap and the quality is very good (blue print) etc

Front Brakes
Cheers mate, for some strange reason Im no excited about doing them LOL. Sad I know. Front pads ordered and good to know they are going to be as easy, thanks for the tips.
