Electric window switches on door panel should they be lit ?

Hi all only my second post..I am new to bongos bought mine last month, i love it so far, I drove it at night for the first time last night though and noticed the window switches aren't back lit at night...should they be as my vw golfs are and so were my last few cars ?

Should I be looking for new bulbs and if they have power or am I wasting my time and they were never fitted !
