Reversing mirror

Post by Eratosthenes » Sun Nov 01, 2015 8:16 pm

Have done various searches trying to find an answer, but have failed!
Is it possible to adjust the reversing mirror? I have gently tried to realign it
using a little pressure but think any more would damage it.
I am seeing too much of the tail gate and only see the bumper of the adjacent vehicle
when it is about 250mm away. Think this is too close for comfort.

Yes, it is adjustable but the ball and socket joint that allows this may be full of junk and in need of a clean to allow it to move. On ours, it is quite stiff to move as I guess it has to be.

Thanks for the reply. Do you know if it comes apart to clean and alter the tension on it, or is it a wd40 job?

A couple of squirts of WD40 and sorted.
