Just a bleed hose this time

Any top tips for changing just the bleed hose?

I would of thought you could change that with out bleeding it
Have someone pouring in coolant when your ready to quickly swop the hoses over ( engine off )
As long as water keeps flowing out as you swop them over should be fine
Or if it's just got a hole in it just shorten it

I'm not sure, but you might need the engine running to be sure coolant is forced out of the bleed pipe rather than risk air being pulled in. Perhaps an experienced bleeder could comment?

I would have a second pair of hands standing by.....do it cold.....remove the old pipe and get the helper to put their thumb over the hole as soon as the pipe is removed........get them to remove their thumb as you put the new pipe on with bung removed......as soon as coolant flows out, fit bung.....then top up tank under bonnet.....it should need very little....job done.

I don't think you want engine running to swop bleed hose
Just have everything ready

Loosen jubilee on hose
Old hose in one hand new hose in other
Pull of old hose and drop while other hand is pushing on new
I would have a friend pouring in coolant mix at header tank
As you do this and when water coming out of new hose put in plug and
Tighten jubilee clip

I do radiator valves like that in houses if I'm in a rush
