Long title but says it all! I have a rounded nut (very painful) on my rear anti roll arm bush bracket. I have ordered the rounded nut removers but of course I will need a replacement nut. Knowing the Bongo, I'm going to assume it isn't a standard metric thread, does anyone know what size I need to buy? Otherwise I will have to remove and then go searching however I know last time non of my local motorfactors or hardware stores could help.
Thanks all

Do you have any sort of engineering/fabrication companies or garages close to you? You could always go and ask once you've got the old one off - they are literally a couple of pennies to buy (wholesale), not diy store mega prices....

I'm sure when I did mine it was a bolt rather a nut. Either way, it snapped so I had to get it drilled out and replaced with new nut and bolt. It will be a standard metric size (M8x1.25 at a guess).

M10 x 1.25 ( metric fine) see http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/V-Star-M10-x- ... 33a9800c4a
Feed with plus gas before dismantling and Put some copper slip or similar on the threads when you reassemble it to save yourself the same grief next time.

Thanks for the advice. I knew it wasn't likely to be any of my basic kit. I did plus-gas it before trying to take it off last time, and the nut just rounded like butter. Everything that gets taken off my Bongo gets put back with a wire brush, then copper slip. I must have added a couple of kilos of weight in copper slip in my 3 years of ownership!
