DIY conversions

Looking at converting my Bongo, however away from the norm, has anyone ever attempted this ?

Loads convert it them selves
To different levels from just a kitchen box to slide out from under seat to full conversion
Make a list of what you require for your needs
Cooker
Fridge
Sink
240v
12v
Leisure battery and split charger system
Solar panel
Warm air blown heating
Water heater

Or you can buy conversions to install your self from the converters
Lots of thought of what you actually need is the starting point
Winchman will put a piccy up soon of his diy kitchen behind rear seats

Bear in mind that you will need to insure it some of the companies are less tolerant than others about such things.....

I'm guessing their focus would be on areas such as seat and seat belt mountings and electrics and gas installation?

Here you go by special request my £150 conversion, built specifically to take the insurance down from £1000 as a eight seater MPV to £200 as a eight seater camper van as it has a Bed, table and chairs, sink hob and storage in.

It fits in the gap when the rear seat is fully back so no loss of leg room, its chip board made to my design by a local kitchen company, loads of people will have the soap box out telling you, you have to use very expensive ply or it will explode and kill you, well it must be 4 years old and its still undamaged, not the most practical conversion but it was built on the cheap to reduce the insurance cost.
The hobs a domestic one converted to LPG cost £20 on Ebay, sinks and old one cut down to fit, it was free.
