Headlight wiring

Post by phil 1 » Sun Aug 16, 2015 9:59 pm

Hi,
Has anyone got any ideas on why the headlight bulb holder's would melt at the earth connection? I had to replace both sides as they were both the same.
Would it be a bad connection with the bulb holder's or could it be the actual earth point on the chassis?
Thanks
Phil

Yes poor connection between bulb and holder, been reported quite a few times. You can get new ceramic H4 lamp sockets from ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from= ... s&_sacat=0
