Air bags revisited

Hi all

Having just got our Bart and having had a great time on the first excursion, one thing struck me on the journey there and back - he's a little wallowy on the back end. Tis a bit like driving a grey blancmange when he's all loaded up

So, here it is - those of you who have the airbags fitted inside your coil springs....are they still as good as when you first fitted them?
Do they need replacing periodically because of deteriation or are they 'fit and forget'?

I have read most of the old threads and the vast majority seem to love them - I would just like some up to date feedback, if possible please

Fitted ours 18 months ago and just as good now as when fitted. Run 30 - 35 psi depending on the load.
I suspect most Bongos have little or no damping oil in the shocks which will lead to the foodstuff comparisons.

Good to know that they stick with it Also an interesting thought about the shocks - I wonder if it's worth replacing or uprating those instead...

Thoughts anyone?

I fitted mine more than three years ago and apart from a periodic pressure check and top up they have been consistently good.
I must admit I keep about 50psi in them but prefer a firmer ride. No sign of deterioration and look as if they will last the life of the bongo.

If you do get a pair you will find it difficult, not impossible as some members would suggest, to fit following the video instructions from the supplier. With the Bongo it is necessary to fit them upside down rather than the way the instructions say. It took me about half an hour for the first side but only fifteen minutes for the second. Good luck.
