Hi everyone,
I'm new to the forum and I have a problem with my aircon I wondered if anyone could help me with. I have read quite quite a few threads that are close to my problem but no cigar.
I have a 1996 bongo that has aircon in the front and back. When I have the aircon switched on for the rear and the fan switched to number 1 on the dial the aircon works for the rear but no blowers for the font, the vents at the front have cold air trying to come out but no blower.
With the dial is on 1 the green light comes on for aircon (with aircon switched on) but as soon as I switch to 2 or 3 there is no blower at the front and the aircon goes off. When I switch to 4 on the dial the blower come on for the front perfect but no aircon.
Could anyone help me understand what is wrong here?

Re: Air con problems
The two fans are totally separate. The front one is directly underneath the window screen and if the drainage tube in the middle of the scuttle plate gets blocked then the water overflows over the air fan motor causing the problems you have!
First you need to get in and clean up the motor:- See here http://www.g8dhe.net/bongo_images/air_fan_cleaning
Then you need to repair the resistor block that controls the speed of the motor, there is a Club factsheet for this here:- http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/member ... sistor.pdf

Re: Air con problems
sounds like the front heater motor is seizing up, this pops the resister

the resister lives under 61-135b it pops the soldered links when it gets hot, these are fixable after the fan is serviced.
