This is true but there is also a plus side to having a full width bed other than being able to transport three passengers all with inertia seatbelts. I removed the cushions ( velcro) and, with the bed in locked down position, I had a full width cargo space and was able to transport a new pair of garage doors! I have also collected a huge shower tray which would have been impossible in a side conversion
