Sliding door interior handle

Can someone tell me what holds the inner sliding door handle on the splines?I can see no pin or circlip type fitting which you might expect.I don't want to use brute strength if there is something simple preventing me removing it.

Thanks for the helpful info and also for the Japanese "translation" unintentional hilarity !Anyhow it was obvious from the pics that my door handle had been previously got at and it was merely bashed hard onto the splines with no clip and part of the plastic broken off.Got the handle off with the use of two levers .When I replace the door panel I will have to find a way of fixing it back on.Took a photo of the handle but can't figure how to send as attachment to this forum.Advice on this would be appreciated even though i know I've sent photos before.
