Spark Plugs (2 litre)

Post by yorksbob » Fri Jul 17, 2015 3:47 pm

Does anybody know what make of spark plug the Bongo shop sells? I have been advised to get NGK for my 2.0litre petrol Bongo.

Thanks

I think the ones I got from shop a while back for V6 were Denso (as I recall) which are the ones used by Mazda I believe.

Having just been looking a starter motors Denso appears to be the original Japanese manufacturer for them, so I would guess good for plugs.

Just changed the plugs on our V6 and they were Denso. Fitted NGK.
1998 green and silver V6 called 'Blossom'
2004 white 2 litre tin top called Buzz.

I use NGK BKR5E-11 .. as I use LPG I set mine to 1.0mm not 1.1mm..

These are basic plugs but at around £10 for six cheap, and the easiest plugs possible to change to change every 10.000 miles or so ..

Image

I use NGK Iridium in My Toyota Estima as the floor and front seats have to be removed to get to the 'flat' engine to change them but the plugs last for 40 - 50.000 miles ..

I use NGK LPG Iridium in my Alphard .. the three plugs by the bulkhead are a pain to get to so once every a 50.000 miles change is OK by me ..

Saying that .. the plugs that came out where Denso Iridium .. they looked like the original plugs from 2003 ..!!
