Passenger electric window

Post by sotal » Sat Jul 04, 2015 9:27 pm

We had our first night away in the Bongo.

Ended up with two minor glitches - first was that the tap leaks under the sink - not even looked at that yet.

The second one was that the passenger side electric window switch was only working when going down - it wouldn't go up. You could put it back up with the drivers switch but the passenger one wouldn't make it go up.

We tried pressing various buttons just to check it wasn't a lock or anything like that and tried pulling the passenger switch a few times. Then it went down all by itself and stayed down - the drivers side now wouldn't put it up.

I ended up having to take the switch apart - which then allowed me to raise the window from the drivers side but now the passenger side doesn't go up or down!

Is there anything simple? Is it likely to be the wiring in the door joint?

you are aware of rocker switch below the 2 window ones on drivers side

which turns on and of working of passengers switch

but it could be wiring and it could be in either loom were they go through doors to frame

Yes aware of the rocker under the drivers switch, but it was worming going down just not up. After fiddling with the switch it wouldn't do either (even from drivers side). After taking the switch apart it now does work from drivers side but not at all from passenger side.

Passenger switch swapped for a new one - problem still there so going back to have the wiring checked out next week.
