Ok from a forum search i've found out bongo wheels are:
stud diameter-114.3
stud pattern-5
offset-36mm
spigot center-67.1
so if i look at a ad for some alloys and it says this:
5X114.3 ET45 7J X 17" or
?7.5" X 18"5X114.3 ET35
are they any good ?

I'm watching those auctions you listed.
I've had info from a garage and they've just listed all the alloys with 5x114 as being suitable for bongos, however they also have et40/et38/et35 and i have no idea what these figures are?
Re tyres as i understand it i want them rated 92 at the least preferably 94-96 due to the bongos weight?

Those figures are the offset figures and shouldn't cause too much of a problem, unless they are vastly different to the Bongos.
All 5x114 are not suitable for the Bongo. As I understand it, your centre spigot hole must be 67.1 or greater, otherwise the wheels will not go flush to your hub - but, I stand to be corrected!
Re tyres, some people run happily on car tyres because there is no way they will ever reach the Bongo's load capacity. I have 94s on mine and feel happier that way. However, I just had to replace one and the supplier thought that the 94s were unnecessary unless I really was going to load it up - he recommended an "extra load" tyre. I still went for the 94 because I didn't want different tyres on the same axle.
