LPG valve
We've discovered our valve isn't working properly and not letting gas in. Has anyone fitted a new one of these or know how to or where to get one from please. Does the system need bleeding afterwards? Thanks
Re: LPG valve
Sure that would have to be a LPG auto garage place

Re: LPG valve
How long as the system been fitted .. was it by a local AutoGas agent ..??
Some systems are guaranteed for two years .. some for life ..
Personally I would try to go back to the installer and let them suss it out ..

Re: LPG valve
Unless you are competent enough I would suggest that you use a recognised LPG installer/technician. If you are you can purchase a valve assy for £30/40.Was the valve removed to give you the answer to the problem, if so was the float assy ok?.

Re: LPG valve
Try AJC in Marchwood. I believe New Forest Terrier uses them for LPG work.

Re: LPG valve
Yes AJC did my conversion, using a Prins system. It was very well done and has been problem free. Prins is a good quality system and the UK agents are in Southampton, so spares are not a problem.
I would recommend them as a specialist garage, classic cars, who have been doing LPG conversions for some time and know absolutely what they are doing.
There are other converters in the area though who use different systems.

Thanks all. Installers Re in Birmingham and van was already converted when we purchased it. Have left messages for them to phone, but so far, no luck. Will check out the AJC people and the installers list. Good job we've got petrol too!

Re: LPG valve
If the installer is a registered UKLPG installer contact them as they honour warranty work even if the installer as ceased trading ..

The guy who fitted my LPG system stopped trading and never put my Bongo on the UKLPG register .. I had to pay for an independent LPG check /report to satisfy the insurance company ..
A month or so later a guy from UKLPG came to my house to check over the conversion (which was 100% OK) ...
