Rear beeping when roof operating.

Post by gazcicini » Thu Apr 30, 2015 7:22 pm

Hi guys new to the forum but had my bongo for over a year now. I have just read up on stopping the beeping and unplugged the key and blue plug in the drivers footwell. Its stopped everything except there is still a beep coming from the back door drivers side plastic interior trim through the "grille" as it were. This looks a lot harder to get off as the seatbelts have to be unbolted etc does anyone know what needs to be unplugged or is it a simple case of cutting a wire through the grille.

Thanks in advance.

the beeping from the drivers side rear is where the roof control modul is located, this operates the motors etc. the noise is inside the unit itself, ive not heard of peeps stopping this from working, geoffs yer man for sparky stuff, i gave him a unit to do an autopsy on so he knows the internals.

Thanks for the response. Hopefully some ones solved this problem, I've noticed that the noise is reduced considerably when the grille is covered. Would there be any issues with blocking this.

That one should only be beeping when the roof is in operation, sounds like you have the standard problem of the micro-switches at the top front not operating when the roof is down or the roof isn't fully down! You may find that you can adjust the switches a little;
