SMEV run on LPG?

Will my SMEV hob run on LPG?

On Butane atm, but I can't find any into on who makes SMEV or a website.

Yes but you will need to change the regulator on the bottle connection
Was it you early on about the LPG onboard tank
Then that must come with a regulator
Cooker hob will be fine

Yeah, I'm ready to buy it, just confirming that it will run on it.

I need same regulator as what is on it atm? Believe this one takes the 4.5kg calor screw on, and not the top screw in.

There's a regulator for butane and a different one for propane LPG
Your new tank I imagine will come with a regulator fitted and you just fit a hose to it i imagine

You might have to specified weather it's to have a solid pipe or hose connection
Would of thought you have to have solid pipe off of tank / regulator up to the hob then hose connection

2.7kg Gaslow, LPG refillable.

Has a 21.8LH male thread on em. Which I believe is the same as the the 4.5 Calor bottles.

By the sound of it you can just connect onto it with the standard left hand thread gas hoses
Which then connects to the regulator
I imagine your existing regulator is butane you need a propane one
You will need regulator for propane
Speak to your local calor gas place
You should be able to get one to connect straight onto your new refillable bottle
But the advert says use hose
Not to sure mate

Pretty sure you cannot fill Gaslow cylinders from Autogas LPG pump at a filling station unless you have a dedicated fill point external to the van (if that's what you were thinking of doing). Vehicle LPG is propane.

Won't need to do any bodywork modding.

I might be wrong on this, but as soon as you have a refillable Gaslow cylinder INSTALLED on a vehicle, it then presumably comes under the same regulations as an LPG conversion as the LPG conversions for engine use...namely it's INSTALLED and not a portable cylinder, so it's likely that you won't be able to take the vehicle on the Channel Tunnel???....perhaps Gaslow would comment?

The restriction only applies to vehicles powered by LPG rather than fitted for 'domestic' use.

Fixed gas containers (tanks, etc.)
For the purposes of this text, this means fixed containers that are permanently installed or fixed in a vehicle and are refillable from outside the vehicle.

The quantity of gas is limited to 47kg (or approximately 93 litres) maximum for a single container and to 50kg (or approximately 99 litres) maximum in the case of several containers. Each container must be no more than 80% full.

The quantity will be checked via the gauge or remote indicator but if neither are present, the vehicle will be refused.

That's a relief, then...I wasn't sure, as I said. Quite a few large motorhomes have good-size LPG tanks for cooking / heating, so I guess they're O.K...I had wondered, because I've only seen a few of them running LPG fuel.
